- Dr. Mahmoud Mohie Eldin, Minister of Investment opening ceremony of the administrative headquarters of El-Masry Foundation for Community Service.
- The Foundation contributes to important development projects including supporting the Egyptian Museum, in addition to developing 151 villages from amongst the poorest villages in several governorates in Upper Egypt.

Dr. Mahmoud Mohie Eldin, the Minister of Investment and Member of the Board of Trustees of El-Masry Foundation for Community Service has celebrated the opening of the administrative headquarters of the Foundation, located downtown, in the presence of Dr. Ibrahim Badran, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the members of the Board of Trustees.
Dr. Mahmoud Mohie Eldin has declared that El-Masry Foundation for Community Service is an initiative aiming at the activation of Corporate Social Responsibility for the corporates operating under the Act 84 of 2002. In addition, it aims at improving the quality of life and build community capital for the poor and slum communities in Egypt in order to achieve justice and social peace.

The Foundation's mission is to improve the quality of life for all citizens; men, women, youth, and children, according to their social, educational and cultural varied levels, applied on all communities throughout the Egyptian Republic.
In order to achieve its objectives, the foundation adopts the principles and values of respect for citizens, equal rights, and non-discrimination, taking into account gender balance. Besides, it promotes the values of community participation and democratic practice, and the establishment of values of citizenship and belongingness in the context of commitment to humanitarian and religious values that emphasize the achievement of justice and peace and protect the rights of future generations.
Followed the opening, the Board of Trustees regular meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Ibrahim Badran. Reviews of the foundation's financial status and discussion of new projects were from among the main topics of the board of trustees meeting. Dr. Ibrahim Badran has asserted that the foundation is working on several areas to achieve their goals in the fields of education, scientific research, health and cultural services support, having great hopes for the success of the foundation, especially as it began its substantial work with the valuable mission of presenting the land of Ben El-Sarayat to Cairo University to be dedicated for the university's expansion needs.


The meeting also discussed the contribution of the foundation in various development projects, on the top of them the project of the grand Egyptian Museum that is being established in Giza Governorate, In addition to the project of developing 151 villages classified as the poorest in several governorates in Upper Egypt, along with several projects for cultural development and the enrichment of the Arabic library with the latest scientific efforts serving different humanitarian aspects and promoting the citizens' standard of living. In addition, the meeting also discussed the contribution of the foundation in the implementation of various projects aiming at supporting NGOs, scientific research at universities, as well as supporting the institutions of blood transfusion, and with respect to the economic and industrial sectors; supporting the artisans and crafts.
El-Masry Foundation for Community Service has already implemented a number of major projects including the project of Cairo university's expansion, through donating Ben El-Sarayat's land that is located infront of the university, its area is about 30 thousand meters square, and at a cost of 24 million Egyptian pounds.
In addition to this, the institution has launched an annual program to sponsor fully funded scholarships for the graduated students aiming at obtaining masters and doctorate degrees from the major international universities abroad and in various scientific disciplines. The program's objective is to support the potentials of students and increase their value added through their expected knowledge share to the graduates' partnering entities and individuals working in the public interest, and it was implemented this year at a cost of 6 million pounds.
